Savarkaryas are traitor, they justify British rule in India, they are against the freedom movement, they are only against Muslims and Marx. Savarkar was a traitor, a loyal servant of the British, he had collaborated with Jinnah"s Muslim League. In the same way the followers of Savarkar Hindutva Brigade are also anti-National. Advani-Modi admire Jinnah. They are pro-British as well. Shekhawat was a police officer during the British rule. This is Hindutva. In West Bengal, it is taught like a Gospel truth to people that "Marxism is all powerful because it is the truth"! To prevent it, we need an equally powerful propaganda machine, which we lack.
71	Ramesh on Sunday, July 15, 2007 : Democracy is made up of 1. Legislature/Parliament to frame laws, 2. Executive to enforce these laws 3. Judiciary to interpret the laws There is a the fourth estate. the watch dog: Press or the media as they are called today. Also, there is bureaucracy. The permanent civil service in India. Let us consider the perception we have about these organs in India. The Legislature and the executive are the most corrupt. Criminals are getting elected, entering the government and destroying the fabric of administration. The bureaucracy is cooperating with the criminals and is equally corrupt. The Judiciary is very inefficient and has crores of cases in backlog. The journalists are working hard to improve the situation by reporting the truth (CNN-IBN, NDTV, Times of India, etc.....). Nothing could be farther from the truth. The Fourth Estate in India made up of predominantly English papers is the most corrupt. They have been hand-in-glove with government (the biggest advertiser) or private sector. The English language media in India is perhaps the most corrupt. Who builds these perceptions? Who are the journalists? What are their political affiliations? In the west, these are studied in Universities and there are good books written about the media, its owners and journalists. In India, unfortunately, there is very little written about journalists. Why is it fashionable to be a religion bait-er. No, they do not have to bait all religions. Just Hindu-religion. Do Hindus need to be reformed more than Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists....... Why naxal violence gets sympathetic treatment? These people commit pre-meditated crimes with sophisticated weapons that are not easily available. Terrorists, and criminals get the benefit of "innocent until proven guilty" but, when a member of sangh parivar or a hindu-religious leader is caught for flimsy or political reasons, the Media has already branded him a criminal. Who is responsible for building such news stories? Are there communist party members in news organizations? My conclusion: The media has failed India the most. Because there was no direct accountability to anyone. At least the parliament, executive (govts) and judiciary were filled with some eminent people who felt responsible for a greater cause that was India and its people.
