News Summary: A few months back, Justice Katju, an outspoken Supreme Court judge rejected the appeal by a Muslim student to sport a beard in a Catholic school out of religious reasons. But he was also apprehensive that succumbing to this mindset could propel Talibanisation since, We dont want to have Taliban in the country. Tomorrow a girl student may come and say that she wants to wear a burqa, can we allow it? I am a secularist. We should strike a balance between rights and personal beliefs. 3	AKber Khan on Oct-16 : Feedback sent to Author: The-veil-in-the-classroom We live in a democratic country but we have to think before we speak to the next person (find out his religion) before we get hit by some religious party workers, Even go to a pub or a club may displease some religious outfit who may come and assaulting us in the name of culture, our teachers who should be teaching us that we are Indians and are equal no matter what religion, cast, region, colour, language, or cloths we ware. If some person feels that headscarf"s should not be wone in the college campus, I don"t understand why a collage has to ban headscarfs. Dose this come under indecent dressing or public nuisance. Being the head of an institute think before you make a decision. We live in India having a constitution to follow and have fundamental rights. These hooligans making own rules to please their selfish unrealistic demands has divided my country in the name of religion and culture. This reminds me of the British rule or the Taliban who have their own rules to please and satisfy their personal desire. The demands by these religious party workers are not understood by me as most of them don"t make any sense. Should I follow their demands as they are good for the society or just follow because it pleases them. I think sometimes what would Mahatma Ghandi do, just blindly follow these unjust law imposed on him or fight for his right. It was this kind of double standard that had brought revolution, I just hope we don"t have to start our second strugg
