2	Mohan on Feb-20 : Good article. Good comment by Mayank - Gandhi lost it. He could barely fight the Brits that too because of pressure from action seekers in his party. However he had no answer to power mongering in his party and the partition headaches. His poor management skills are evident as he could not strike a peaceful partition deal, and he could never put pressure on the British to release Indian prisoners and revolutionaries. In the mess, many people died and Pak got more and with no accountability.

Let me add an old gujarati saying "Durbal Dhani Baire Pur Shuro" meaning "Durbal husband is rough and tough with his wife". In indian context, Durbalvadi Fabian-Stalinist (ie. all non-bjp parties) is rough and tough with hindus only. This asymmetric double-standard is called pseudo-secularism. Mahatma Gandhi perfected this durbalvadi double-standard and brutally used it with neither compassion nor mercy. In mumbai, He urges majority-hindus to earn goodwill of minority-muslim() but in nakholi east-bengal he does a "U" turn.
