Mr.PM, Who should be Ashamed?
India Forum: Comments, Opinion - Information Resource
News Summary: On August 23, 2008, Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati, along with several other residents of an ashram, including women, in Orissas Kandhamal district, were murdered. Christian missionaries have long been operating here and have had difficulty converting Hindus. It was widely known that it was Christian missionaries that engineered this gruesome act. Angered by the killings, the Hindus retaliated.About a month later, on September 29, 2008, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh addressed the EU-India summit i.....read more in: Mr.PM, Who should be Ashamed?

True Side..Please spare Dipak your lectures. Our country cannot survive if we continue to ignore the misdeeds criminal missionaries rampaging in India. They give money to christian terrorists of Nagaland and Tripura so that they can establish separate christian countries, write filth and falsehood about Hindu Deities and society and create trouble and incite Maoist christians to go kill Swami Laxmananda and his disciples because he is against conversion! Does secularism means sheltering criminals as long as Hindus are murdered?

INDIA DON"T NEED ANY DICTATOR PM OR PRESIDENT. INCASE IF IT HAPPEN, ALL THINGS WILL GO UPSIDE DOWN.

We have useless PM and President at this critical hour. It looks like no one is interested in estimating the Taliban power in Pakistan and its consequences for India. All are youth are interested in movies and enjoyment, all our political leaders are good in protecting Sick- secular muslim interests and Babri Mosque and hitting at BJP and attacking Varun for his freedom of speech for saying a spade is a spade. Let"s see the fath and future of India.

VHP should be strengthened in all parts of the country as an umbrella Hindu organization. Last year, I happened to see some American tourists in Chennai. They had landed in Chennai that morning and were catching a train that night itself to go to Then Kasi to teach American History in an orphanage. Can you believe this? They had come to convert people and saying they have come to teach in the orphanage ... that too American History!
As long as we have good for nothing Congress and their cronies running the country, this will happen.
Talking about the books written by the Christian missionaries on Hindu Gods, we should also write such books on Christianity and give it out free in front of churches. It is a well known fact that 2000 years back itself, Mary had premarital sex and gave birth to Jesus. Since it will not be good such a grouping to be called a religion, they changed the story to Virgin Mary and Immaculate birth. They call the 13th desciple as a traitor. Actuallly Jesus was a terrorist just like Osama bin Laden. They needed informants just like US is looking for informants about Osama. Finally Jesus was caught. If this is not true, then why did the kind need someone to turn over Jesus to the authorities. As a preacher, he should have been touring all over the country and the authorities could have easily nabbed him. Since they needed an informant, it is obvious that he was hiding in some cave. If he were even an ordinary soul, he would have died when he was nailed on the cross for his crimes. No, his ghost appeared after 3 days. So Christians are ghost worshippers. If you read the bible, you can collect lot more junk. We should go on the offensive and publish all these.

Indian government honoured Saint teressa, who kept no account of the money she received or spent, got sainthood by curing a cancer patient. Gladys Staines, another missionary ( Australian )was honourd. These Australian missionaries used to snatch babies from "aboriginal" mothers" arms and send them thousand of miles away to "civilise" them Lastly Sister Nirmala. For Hindu religious persons, jail and torture. Not so long ago there was disturbance in Karnataka, some churces were attacked, but the cause was not published as usual.Hindus were angry when New life published a book-Satya Daeshini in Kannada, some of its passages, " Urvashi-the daughter of Lord Vishnu-is a prostitute. Vashista is the son of this prostitute. He in turn married his own mother. Such adegraded person is the Guru of the Hindu god Rama." some years ago similar book published by a CHristian organisation, Hindu women prostate before naked Hindu sadhus, was their penises and drink the water. When the culrits were arrested, some Aerican Senators protested.
Union govt., also pays salaries to 500,000 Imams every year. Also it sends aMuslim goodwill mission to Saudi Arabia every year. This year more tha 30 Muslims went with their familiesfor 18/20 days at a cost of 2.39 crores of rupees, this was against the wishes of Indian council in Jeddah. It maintains 17 embarkation points for Muslims to go for haj with all medical facilities.Congress govt. in AP-
1. Cancelled Rs.550 crores of debt owed by the minorities.
2.PAYs Rs15000 per couple when Muslim or Christians get married.
3.Gives grant to Urdu Academy Rs 14 crores (goes up every year )in comparison Sanskrit Academy gets Rs 5 lakhs.
4.100 per cent tuition fees for Muslims in professional colleges.
But there is no money to payfor Hindus murdered and kicked away from Jammu and Kashmir. Weast Bengal govt. helps illegal Bangladeshi immigrants but no bagladeshi Hindu refugees. It is not only MNS but we Hindus shoul be ashamed too. Dr. Subramnian Swamy, in his book, HINDUS UNDER SIEGE, said,"the Hindu must have a mindset to retaliate when attacked. The retaliation must be massive enough to deter future attacks. If terrorists come from training camps in Pakisthan, Bangladesh, or Srilanka, India must seek to carpet bimb those training camps, no matter the consequences. Today"s so-called self-proclaimd "good" Hindus have failed to avenge or retaliate for the attacks on Parliament, Akshardham Mandir in Gujarat, the sanctum santorium in Ayodhya......those who defend these assins and praise the terrorist organizations behind them are central government ministers today."

( Some add-ons to the excellent article )
There are four thousand "fraudulent" missionaries in India, destroying Indian heritage, culture, and identity.Puppet Singh does not care. Do Hindus care? In Tripura, there were no Christians at the time of independence, now there are 120,000 christians. This Christians formed terrorist groups, funded by the missionaries.Look at Nagaland, almost all converted to Christianity. Their terrorist groups are also funded by missionaries. In Arunachal Pradesh, there were only 1710 Christians in 1961, now 1.2 million as well as 780 churches. In AP, churches are springing everywhere.
In Kandhamal, Christian population in 1961 was 2 per cent, in 2001 it was 27 per cent and rising. Missionaries are giving vast lans to SC Panas tribe to lure them to Christianity. World Vision is playing a active role there. ( If interested, please red NGOs, activists and foreign funds- and anti-nation industry-vigil publication forum )
New life another NGO picks up Hindus in marketplace, befriend them and convert them, it costs about 15000 rupees per conversion. Many years agoSwami Vivekananda told us, missionaries not only convert a Hindu but also makes him a Hindu enemy. How true this is! On top of this, these religious(!) bodies bought most of the English media Indian newspapers. What for?To kill the Hindu chapter in India. They also own journalism schools in India. All tentacles to crush Hindus.

You just hit all the right notes. Here, in india, the scene sucks!! The sheer hypocrisy of the Indian intellectual class sends the normal guys (as opposed to the secular) into paroxysms of impotent rage. I keep telling this many times to my friends, colleagues and anybody who cares to listen that the state of the economy, infrastructure etc and any such external appurtenances of national well being are insignificant and meaningless if we barter away our identity as a citizen of this country. If Islamic terror is tearing away at the body of our nation, fradulent proselytizations is gnawing at its soul. But, there is nary a listner, what with the media and the educated class having been sold to the lure of the MNC"s. Among a good majority of our country men (& women), if one half has been rendered spineless by nihilism, the other half has become enamoured of mindless pacifism. I sometime wonder if we (who, at the risk of repitition, I call the the normal guys) have become a "Minority" and are fighting a losing battle.

Christians have become a political scapegoat in the run-up to India"s national elections. A major US human rights group says violence against Christians is being orchestrated by right-wing Hindu organizations linked to then ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The groups, which operate with impunity at the local level, include the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (World Hindu Congress, or VHP), the Bajrang Dal (the militant youth wing of the VHP), and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (National Volunteer Corps, RSS).All of these organizations are linked to the BJP

Well watch this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3znSTS9WcBc

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0z_Eh-XTF9M

The real story

Very recently the Bajrang Dal-led mobs officially killed 31 people - although unofficially it is admitted that several hundred were slaughtered - they looted and burned some 4.000 houses, and forced 50.000 Christians to run for their lives, - first into the forest, and eventually into refugee camps, where many of them still remain, fearful of returning to their homes. Around 270 churches and prayer halls have been vandalised and burned, and 65 colleges, schools and Christian institutions now lay in ruins.

The immediate excuse VHP and Bajrang Dal gave to justify these attacks was the murder of the 82-year old VHP activist and religous leader Swami Lakshamananda Saraswati, who had worked in Kandhamal for the last 40 years, re-converting Christians to Hinduism, hinduizing the tribals and generally countering the proselytising activities of the Christian missionaries. ¨

The swami was gunned down in his ashram together with four of his aides - one of whom was a woman - on the 23. August 2008. The Maoists took responsability for the murders, leaving a note behind explaining why they had executed the "fascist" swami. The police announced that the Maoists has murdered the swami, but this explanation did not suit VHP whose leaders instead claimed that it was the Christians who were behind the murder, and who therefore should be held responsible.

What has surprised - and dismayed - observers is that it took the Orissa state government over one month to reestablish a semblance of law and order in Kandhamal district. The Union government in Delhi immediately sent troops to be deployed in the troubled area, but there seemed to be a total unwillingness on part of the Orissa government to crack down on VHP and Bajrang Dal cadres and the mobs they led.

Some Christians have given in to the pressure and converted to Hinduism to be be able to return to their houses and fields, but the situation varies from place to place. According to interviews made in the camps, people have had different experiences regarding returning home - now two months after the mayhem.

There are those who have returned to their village without feeling threatened;

Others, however, do not feel welcome in their village and prefer to stay in the camps, but visit their fields every day;

Some feel really threatened in their village, and do not dare to go back, thus they have no choice but to remain in the camps;

Others do not want to go back, but have neither connections nor money to go anywhere else, so they stay on in the camps, in spite of the fact that the camps are rudimentary and badly equipped, and simply miserable to live in (sanitation-, water-, health-, school- and saftety-wise).

A number has quietly left the camps and moved in with relatives in towns in Orissa, or they have left for other states, such as Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, to start a new life.

The violence against the Christians in Kandhamal has been raised by many foreign governments on a number of occasions, which has been felt as an immense embarrasment by the central government in Delhi. The European Union has condemned the incident in Kandhamal and urged the government to uphold the right of freedom of religion, protect the Christians in Orissa and to ensure that the victims of the recent attacks are able to return to their homes. A EU delegation will visit Orissa in December 2008 to study the situation and make recommendations. After elements close to Vishwa Hindu Parishad subsequently have been accused of being involved in terror bombings in India, there have been calls for an inquiry into the activities of the VHP in the UK, where it is registered as a charity.

Charity?

what kind of?

Nobody has heard VHP doing some good in India then what are the trying to do in UK.

Hi Venkataraman,

I strongly agree and support your view.
The politicians and the English media is so unfair to Hindus.
We Indians should be ashamed of this PM who is not having courage (just look at him, his body, his posture, his speech no having any power or the features of the ruler) He is just fit to be servant of Gandy family.

We need to educate our people about the psedo-secularism, where in our own nation our religion and culture is suppressed. If India is a secular country, it should have a unique rule for everyone. Why should be Hindus are pointed out to the reaction when the government can not stop or act on the cause by so-called minorities.
Hindus need to get united and oppose such injustice in every possible democratic way which will draw the attention of public and make them think. We need to learn opposing diplomtically, through non-violent protest, through internet blogs and every possible non-violent way.
16 HJana on Apr-11 :

Thank you for a very balanced article. It is a must-read for every pseudo secularist in our country. Our enemies are not the missionaries who indulge in conversion or even our spineless politicians. Our true enemies are those Hindus who stubbornly refuse to see the truth and rally for action. Rather they"d keep harping on how "communal" BJP, RSS are etc etc.

Question why hindus are afraid of calling lthemselves Hindu while if you call muslim some thing else he is ready to kill you. Why hindu is not proud of his heritage it is due to weak leadership bad spritual leaders or lack of educuation.
14 Haran on Apr-11 :

Good article. The author is right. The PM has a sick habit of making brazen statements about domestic matters whenever he is outside India. In Havana, he said that Pakistan is also a victim of terrorism. In the aftermath of Malegon Mosque blasts (2006), on board the aircraft, he said that Hindu fundamentalists" involvement in the crime could not be ruled out.

Later he said that he had lost sleep on seeing the plight of a terrorist"s family. He made the brilliant statement that Muslims had the first right and claim over the nation"s resources.

Even yesterday he had made more brazen statements.
13 Nagaraj on Apr-11 :

Ashwin,
You may be right selectively in stating that why are some groups standing up for hindu voices. In a political system left behind by the Britishers we need huge groups for a political action. Individuals no longer count. They can be purchased/lured by words (like word of god) or by money or by any other means.

One observation from your comment:
"This has fundementally been the pattern of RSS, VHP, BJP and others to whip up the communal passions during elections to polarise the society and demand votes on the name of fear - truly it these organisatiosn who should be ashamed rather than blaming Dr.Singh and Sonia Gandhi".
The same can be said of any group in India. Why don"t you keep your mind open and not be selective. But you can"t, you have been programmed to be selective.

Very well written article. I am also interested in what was the French President"s response. Did he feel ashamed of the christians starting the fire in the Khandamal riots? Why does Dr. Manmohan Singh feel ashamed at Indians and proud of others be it British Rulers (in one of his speeches a few years back in London he thanked Britishers for their rule in India) who brought good administration and culture to India. Or his statements like Muslims have the first right to India"s resources etc.

Why is that RSS and self appointed hindu right groups take the moral responsibility of being the protectors of hindu walk of life.
Have they forgotten the hindu walk of life has withostood long years of hard and good times and survived and flourished.
Also learn from history not to politicise the issues on religious lines. If Swami Lakshmananda was murdered, then the murderers are culpable, but that does not give the hindus to right to torch up christians families in Kandhmal - those who did that are equally culpable if not more for the mass destruction and carnage.

It is also ridiculous, why BJP is pulling Dr. Singh and Sonia Gandhi into this, when it was their government in conjunction with BJD which was at the help of affairs???

This has fundementally been the pattern of RSS, VHP, BJP and others to whip up the communal passions during elections to polarise the society and demand votes on the name of fear - truly it these organisatiosn who should be ashamed rather than blaming Dr.Singh and Sonia Gandhi.

Being a hindu, who are self appointed groups like you to tell me what a hindu should do, also did i ask you to come and fight or even show solidarity to me. It is this mentality that RSS, VHP, BJP and others who are more wedded to purans and shastras rathe rthan the word of God creating a situation to position themselves as the political ruling elite. This is nothing but another case of dividing the hindu society in finer granularity.

Also, BJP should know they dont have candidates who have mass acceptability across the country if they leave out the caste/community/religious agenda, they will all be history.

Rightly or wrongly there are very few politicians like Nehru-Gandhi family, Dr.Singh, Scindia, Vajpayee, late Pramod Mahajan, kamalnatah, Chidambaram, Pranab Mukherjee, S Bangarappa and few more who can stand the test of time and the logevity and they need not polarise the society to serve the people of india though electoral politics.

Hence my suggestion to these self appointed groups if you are concered about hindu society rather than taking the violent hindutwa act on the words of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna and work for the social development of the hindu society, rather than whipping up political passions.

Cheers
Ashwin

You are brave to say a spade is a spade. Yes I did receive multiple times the resume of our great PM of India (sic). He is a product of Macaulay"s de-Indianising education system, an evil, that spoiled Indian culture and Indian mindset. Here in USA, I often come across the love of Afro-American"s for what they are and for their Africian roots. Now, our younger Indians are not realizing to what they are getting into and still thinking that nothing will happen to them and to their children and to their future. The typical mindset of these so called pseudo secularists is exposed in this article and hopefully(what is life without hope?)Mr Singh gets the feedback in this election.
The INC should have been dismantled as Gandhi suggested long time ago but what we see now in Indian politics is the side effects of not doing that.
Kudos to the author and we expect many more thought provoking articles.

Hello Venkataraman

Thanks for a pro Hindu article. Our worst enemy is inside of our heads as you have figured out. I think 1000 years of colonialism have left Hindus with a low self esteem to such an extent that we are so cautious of causing offence to anybody even if that offence is justified. We must take note however that while entire cultures like Iranian and Indonesian disappeared under the onslaught of Islam, Hinduism still remains and this is a source of great frustration for for the mullahs. We survive today because our forefathers were educated and no amount of hardship could have caused them to accept the stupidity that Islam is. Only when Hindus are educated again will we be able to teach the muslims and christians a lesson. Africans also suffer similar problems of low self esteem and lack of confidence because of colonialism and are also looking for answers. In his book "Decolonising the Mind" Ngugi wa Thiongo deals with the African situation. His central thesis is that language is the carrier of our culture and once we stop speaking our language and start speaking the language of the colonialist we also lose pride in our traditions because in the language of colonialist our traditions become caricature. Take the word "sangoma". In the zulu language a sangoma is a traditional healer and a person who has deep knowledge of medicinal plants and someone who understands the human mind and so someone who can cure people. In he english language a sangoma becomes a caricature - someone who dresses up in animal skins, is superstitituous and throws bones to read a persons future. I think the same will happen to Hindus once we abandon our mother tongues.

Regards

Kishore
