27	Michael Prabhu on Nov-15 : Dear Shri Srinivasan, I am a Catholic layman, apologist and evangelist. I only recently came across this article written by you. Like me, there are many Catholic priests and lay persons who are greatly concerned about the "inculturation"-- much of what is the "Hindu-isation" of Catholicism in India. I say this with absolutely no disrespect to the Hindu religion, but we share your concern about the borrowing of Hindu Scriptures, mantras, rituals, dances, symbols, etc. This does not have the approval of Rome [the Vatican]. However, gradually, infected priests, bishops and cardinals are convincing Rome that the Church in India has to be inculturated but there are few like me who resist this alarming trend. After all, St Thomas the Apostle, St Francis Xavier and others could never have been accused of inculturating in order to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and convert people without using coercion or inducements. To be fair, I must add that it is NOT for conversion of the minority, though I would have like it to have been the reason, for the present inculturation. Our clergy are mortally afraid of being accused of converting anyone, forcibly or otherwise. The inculturation that you and I are witnessing and the new "hybrid" Bible are symptoms of the loss of Christian faith by our religious leaders, and it is leading to syncretism. His most stupid followers are now to be found in the most ignorant, poverty-ridden and overbreeding areas of the third world like some parts of our own country. Christianity is fast dying in some countries of Europe where it exists today in name only. Spain just about obliterated the Muslims who had conquered it and took back their country by force. For many hundred years, rice and chutney eating, weakling Hindus did nothing to kill all the Muslims like the Spanish people did through military might. Now they are stuck not only with the Monkey Messiah but also with the Arab Satan from Saudi Arabia. Hindus are responsible for their own physical and intellectual degradation and they are still overbreeding and debilitating themselves into a bleak future of unending misery and national humiliation.

The other is the bogus and nonexistent divine Christ. The real Christ, assuming he actually lived, is a black magician, a street wizard, sorcerer, charlatan, exorcist and devilbuster. He spits in a blind man"s eyes, we are told, and the man"s vision is fully restored. He is hungry and comes upon a fig tree. It is out of season and the tree has only leaves on it, no fruit. He curses it: "Let there be no fruit from you forever!". And the tree withers and dies. Great work, Christian godman! He meets a man possessed by 2,000 demons. The demons inside the man ask Mr. Christ to send them into 2,000 swine on a nearby hillside. Christ commands and as soon as the demons enter the swine he drives them down the steep hillside into the sea where all the poor animals drown. Another great piece of work by the godman of Christianity. This Christ of the New Testament believes that every sickness and affliction is caused by evil spirits residing in people and everywhere he goes he performs exorcism on people with serious illnesses and disabilities and makes them whole and healthy. After each black magic performance he commands and intimidates his subject to keep the micraculous event a secret forever and to never reveal it to anyone. Why the secrecy? Was Christ afraid of being apprehended by the authorities for quackery? There are other miracle stories too in the New Testament almost all of which are copied from earlier sources. Then there is the divine Christ of the New Testament a fictitious literary creation patched together by plagiarists with borrowings from the literatures and religions of other nations.

I happened to pass by a place called Kolathur in Chennai, when I saw a place of worship. It looked deceptively Hindu.
