10	Arvind on Sunday, October 12, 2008 : Feedback sent to Author: A-Hindu-American-Democrats-Dilemma-in-2008 Dr. Rao, I too am a Hindu-American. I arrived in the US in 1967 fleeing the unbridled racism in the UK. I liked the government but despised the people. In the US, I found myself liking the people but despising the government. Over the years I have undergone the same Kubler-Ross metamorphosis as you. I want a US administration that domestically is fiscally conservative and socially liberal AND also is supportive of India. So does the India support trump the fiscal conservatism and social liberalism? Well, I have a daughter and (God forbid) she gets pregnant and does not want the child--I don"t want her to have to go to some quack in Mexico. Fact is I voted Gore-Kerry because though I liked GW, I hated the people who supported him. On the other hand, Democrats seem to be really down on India and do little except sermonize. Ultimately, we are Americans and we have to vote our pocketbook and our concerns as they relate to our lives here. As we grow in numbers and in political representation (and I don"t count Jindal), perhaps we will arrive at an equilibrium that many Jews have.
9	Markadam on Wednesday, October 08, 2008 : Sorry, Dr. Rao. After last night"s debate, it is all too clear that Sen. McCain has no clue how to deal with Iran, Pakistan, Iraq or Afghanistan. Rhetoric does not win wars. Sen. Obama, (surprisingly to me because I had not heard him before) comes across at least able to say "Pakistan", "Iran" and "Nuclear" clearly, which is a first for American leaders (compare to the dum-dum Palin). He clearly speaks of better focus in the war against Islamic terrorism - pointing out that it did not come for Iraq, a fact that most Republicans refuse to acknowledge. Right now, the Republicans are in la-la land. McCain is clueless, and Palin is an absolute right-wing extremist catastrophe, far worse than Pat Robertson. So I am voting Democrat. I share Dr. Rao"s concerns about Barbara Boxer and Paki Harkin and Dingdong Dingaman, but there is no doubt any more in my mind about the Presidency - another 4 years of Republican rule, and the US will become worse than Pakistan.

7	Krishna on Monday, October 06, 2008 : There is no doubt about Americans are self centered and India needs to help itself. But the fact are Obama is the favorite of many hard core Islamists, Wahhabists and Saudi agents. Khalid Mansoury, Raila Odinga, Nation of Islam and host of other Pakistani & Middle Eastern Jihadist from the Chicago area. Plus he exclusively targeted Hillary"s Indian American donors in the primaries aided by all Islamist staff. Not Chinese Americans, Mexican Americans, Arab-Americans but Indian-Americans says a lot. He is smooth talking, intelligent and tells you what you want to hear but I just can"t trust him. The fact that most Muslims are voting en mass for him while publicly fighting with him about being anti-Muslims shows something is up. McCain on the other hand is archaic but I wish straight shooting and intelligent Palin was the republican Presidential candidate.

However, Barack Obama is a better choice when it comes to taking on Terrorists, especially the ones operating in Pakistan and Afghanistan. At least, he will stop the funds to Pakistan which is still supporting Terrorists in India.
5	A.Moron on Saturday, October 04, 2008 : Is there any difference between Democrats and Republicans regarding how they treat India: 1) Democrat Johnson supplied weapons to Pakistan, who attacked India in 1965. Johnson imposed sanctions against India. 2) Republican Nixon sent 7th Fleet to attack India in 1971. 3) Democratic Carter created Muzzahadins from the Pakistan army to destroy Afghanistan, some of them came to India later; created NSG to punish India; imposed sanctions against India in 1978. 4) Republican Reagan gave every weapons and money to Zia Ul Haque to create Khalistan movement; imposed financial sanctions against India. 5) Clinton created Taliban; refused to accept J&K as part of India, tried to stop Russia sending missiles, Rockets, weapons, nuclear plants to India. 6) Bush gave the status of NATO ally to Pakistan; already gave $10 Billions to Pakistan; induced India to sign123 treaty to destroy India"s nuclear weapons programme, but did nothing against Pakistan getting everything from China. Barak Obama"s father was a Muslim; he must be a Muslim no doubt no matter what he says. McCain is another Bush.

3	Truth Speaks on Friday, October 03, 2008 : I fully disagree with Dr.T.R.N.Rao that a Democratic president will go soft on Islamic Terrorism. Dr.Rao is correct when he says that under George W Bush, the America been a safer place past 9/11. But he is wrong to assume that Obama or anybody else cannot protect and secure the people living in America. In fact, George Bush provided enormous help to Pakistan militarily and economically, which helped Islamic Terrorists that are targeting India. Also, because of George Bush"s erroneous diversion on War on Terror from Afghanistan to Iraq, not only Al Qaeda gained strength, but its franchises are not operating all over the world, many in India like SIMI or Indian Mujaheddin. Most of the American military help by George Bush delivered to Pakistan did finally ended up at Terrorists" hands without American knowledge. Under George Bush, America remained safer, but India became dangerous place to live. On the other hand, Obama has consistently opposed the Iraq war because it will hurt the Afghanistan war. Also, he openly condemned Pakistan that is it supporting Taliban. He also said, the America should attack Terrorist hideouts in Pakistan to bring peace in Afghanistan. I am surprised how Dr.Rao missed these things about Obama. Every major major American news paper carried Obama"s views on Pakistan, Afghanistan and Terrorism.
