News Summary: Veteran Naxalite leader and the CPI-ML general secretary, Mr Kanu Sanyal has expressed support towards the ongoing agitation in the Darjeeling hills demanding a separate Gorkhaland state. The Maoist leader said, his party had favoured the Gorkhaland demand earlier and supports it now as well. The Nepalis in Darjeeling have got every right to self-rule and the demand for Gorkhaland is very genuine.But how genuine is that demand? 88	Ajit on Oct-08 : I thin the agitation is not going as per it should be. Is not going world wide. As agiatation in 1980"s people through out globe helped the cause. Now the groups who are fighting are in dilema. I think they should ask for help from other their fellow gorkhas who are in other parts of the country.

85	jam on Oct-08 : Questions like foreigners or migrators does not arise, why because if u look at history every communities have migrated thoughout. Now gorkhas are here since pre independence in Netaji"s army , from pak war to china war till kargil and in the 8 Gorkha Regiment i.e Sam Manikshaw"s group who demarcated the Pak and China Border. So if our fore fathers can do for the country why not we also get better chance to uplift. Why give small states like Meghalaya, Tripura , Mizoram, Nagaland , Manipur. Till date No states in NE have ever celebrated 15th Aug or 26th Jan. If you go states like manipur , nagaland and sing or listen hindi songs my boy you are at gun point. try it once if u wont believe . So Govt supports these states but not Gorkhaland. I think gorkhas doesnt talk anything like as such what they want is recognition and proper development of their children. which indian govt has always denied. Jai hind
84	aman on May-06 : the problem identity which gurkhas keep talking about is due influnce of bhutan and nepal on them...they were good dress,smoke,booz...from 16 years old onwards..but when it come to study nad jobs they r not interested...thats why subash gishing ruled them for 22 year and did nothing...it is not anyone else but the gurkhas itself who betray them....sorry for being blunt.
83	Palaniappan on Apr-22 : Mr. A. Moron is acting as per his name. He claims that Sri Lanka expelled Tamils who came to SL 150 years ago. Completely false and baseless allegation. By 70s all the plantation Tamils got citizenship in Sri Lanka. Prior to that some disenfranchised Tamils who were willing to return to India were allowed to return as per Shastri-Sirimavo pact, though many preferred not to.
82	Partha on Jan-22 : I have a simple solution for much of our problem. All that the government needs to do is to abide by the law. Send back all Bangladeshis back to Bangladesh and take away all political rights of Neaplise coming to India after 1950. That way, we will have less terrorist related problems (much of which is through Bangladeshis) and there would be very few Gorkhas left to demand for a Gorkhaland. Easier said than done I guess.
81	A.Moron on Dec-15 : Kapuria: It is very important that these Nepalese came to India after 1950, because of the stupidy of Nehru. They are foreigners. In no country foreigners are allowed to demand in separate state. Whether in Darjeeling or in other districts of North Bengal, Nepalese cannot claim anything. Is it possible for Pakistanis to demand separate states in Bradford, Glasgow, Birmingham and East London, where they are now in large number. Sri Lanka had expelled all Tamils who went there 150 years ago from India. Burma did the same along with Kenya and Uganda. India can expell all Nepalese to Nepal. This is the solution of the Nepalese problem. They already took over Sikkim from the Sikimese. They have taken over Darjeeling from the Lepchas and Bhutias. Now they want to take over North Bengal from the Bengalis. They must be expelled along with the illegal Muslim immigrants from Bangladesh and Pakistan.
80	A.Moron on Dec-15 : Nepalese are helping Pakistan actively for a long time. Indian Airlines plane was hijacked from Nepal. There are hundreds of Pakistanis having big stores in Kathmandu. They are setting up hundreds of Mosques. Nepal is also a friend of China. However, like a real stupid India allows Nepalese to come to India without any visa or passports and allow them to settle down, , elect themselves in the State and Central parliament, get reservations and quota as ST although they are Bramins or Kashtriyas among them, demand separate states. This is really the stpidity of Nehru to allow that, but India does not want to change anything. Thus, the thousands of miles of Indo-Nepal border is wide open for the Pakistanis and Chinese.
