8	S.Ghosh on Oct-24 : USA can never be a friend of India, it never was. It has done nothing for the defence of India, but paid Billions of Dollars to Pak Army. It is always against India"s nuclear weapons, missiles, and India"s industrial development. Remember ENRON, who has stolen millions from India. It is better not to have anything to do with USA.
7	S.Ghosh on Oct-24 : In both countries, Pakistan and USA, the government is not in charge of the secret services and the military. Pak and American secret service and military are partners in creating terrorism for the last few decades. PAKISTAN WANTS TO DOMINATE Afghanistan so that a future Afghan government will not demand areas east of Durand line, NWFP and Balochistan. USA supports Pakistan in this matter. Otherwise instead of Iraq, USA should have invaded Pakistan.

I have asserted that American Game plan is to make sure Taliban and al Qaeda operatives remain within Pakistan and not come to Afghanistan to destabilize it. The Asia Times article confirms it. Another good article titled, "Afpakia Surge" is in NYT, Oct 23, 2009 by Max Boots. Mr. Boots quoted following: "I HOPE people who say this war is unwinnable see stories like this. This is what winning in a counterinsurgency looks like." Lt. Col. William F. McCollough, commander of the First Battalion, Fifth Marine Regiment in Afghanistan.
5	A.Moron on Oct-21 : Who can trust USA? They want to have access to Turkistan"s natural gas and Kazakhstan"s oil. For that purpose, thousands have to die in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and possibly in Iran ( except Obama just like Reagan can make a deal with the Ayatollahs). If they wanted to promote a secular, civilized government in Afghanistan, Jimmy Carter rather than creating Muzzahideens should have collaborated with the Soviets who put possibly the best educated Afghans like Babrak Kamal, Dr.Najjibullah, in power. Pakistan is the source of all Muslim terrorism today, but it is the NATO ally of USA. Obama has not yet started any investigation to the allegation of Cherlie Sheen in CNN that 9/11 was organized by the CIA with the help of Saudis and Pakistanis.
4	030201kishankb on Oct-20 : A.Moron at 02:17 Today: Reality is that America is paying through its nose both materially and militarily for offshoring Afghanistan war to Pakistan. It had hoped to save American lives and not get attacked as it did on 9/11. Now American and NATO troops are dying to make up for what it intended to avoid in the first place. American army deaths were delayed but not eliminated. Both Pakistan and America took advantage of each other to exploit opportunity wars. Neither America nor Pakistan took into consideration unintended consequences of their "STUPIDITY". To both these nations and global powers horrors both these nations, India, China and Central Asian republic are now paying in blood and untold amounts of property and other material losses to terrorist attacks. For Pakistan the situation is dire. It is economically bankrupt and assuming all goes well for it from here on it will take a couple of decades to economically recover and eliminate the madrassah mentality of producing jihadis. America will get through this crisis and come out economically weaker, which means it will lose the global clout it has enjoyed for decades (1945-2008). You already know who other losers are. The whole strategy was to secure Afghanistan and build a pipeline for energy from Central Asia to a warm water port on Indian Ocean so that economically both Pakistan and America would have benefited. Pakistan in addition wanted to establish itself as a "FRONT LINE" state for American hegemony of the region. That is what is at stake now and the golden opportunity was lost because of American Offshore Strategy of War, its tactic agreement to let Pakistan acquire nuclear weapons, etc. IMHO, they all are losers because of dominance of the Afpakia region by terrorist Taliban and al Qaeda leadership in the safe heavens of Afpakia controlled basically by Pakistani army and delusional generals who wanted to establish a Caliphate under their command. As for arguments about paper money etc it is academic and once America loses it global hegemony, sooner or later the dollar will be replaced by some other currency as global money as China and other nations economic clout increases. Once dollar loses it prime trading currency status it is anybody"s guess that America"s global dominance would end.
3	S.Ghosh on Oct-20 : Russian TVs are reporting that the attack on Iran by some terrorists( Taliban or some other) a few days ago was organized by the CIA as a prelude for more general attack. Thus, Afghanistan will be used by USA to attack the countries surrounding it with Pakistan as the recruiting ground, as it was since 1978.
2	A.Moron on Oct-20 : America"s costs are not real cost. USA can just print its own money, which cost only the cost of the papers. Other countries do not have that facility. They have to export to earn enough foreign exchange to pay for its army in foreign countries. What does USA want in Afghanistan? A permanent base to disturb Central Asia, create more Taliban and Khalistanis to terrorise India so that MM Singh would surrender more and more.
