News Summary: Hindus are often attacked for being ignorant as they practice idolatry. Idols in Hindu religion are of various shapes and represent various creatures including humans. The basic concept of Idolatry, as seems to be practiced by Hindus, reflects creation of idols and images, establishing them in temples and home and performing proper worships towards it. 10	Rana on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 : Asha, Here is different view (after reading your comment again.) Looks like you are one of those Hindus all over the world who try to answer the questions raised by these UK/USA people who only study particular cases of violence (but always ignore the root cause of the issues). First of all you need not defend what is going on in Orissa/Karnataka. You need to make these people answerable for what they are doing wrong for 2000 years and its going on even today. (This will obviously need a study form your side. Internet is the best guru) When you say " wat will happen if these people decide that now hindu proportion of the UKs (or for that matter US) population is increasing?" There is a fundamental difference between Hindus outside of India and Christians inside India. 1) Hindus do not divide the societies by forcing conversions on people of other faiths. (Christian missionaries in India mostly do the forcible conversion activities in India) 2) Has any Hindu killed any church leader in UK or USA because the church opposes conversion by Hindus (missionaries in Orissa did exactly the same thing – Swami was killed (by hiring Maoists) for helping Tribal educate themselves) Instead of answering their questions first ask them the questions which obviously they can not answer. Hindus in India are asking to stop the "Forceful" conversions which is creating unnecessary tensions in India. If conversions stop, everyone in India will leave in peace. Recently China threw out missionaries carrying bibles at the airport (during Olympics). Indians and Hindus are asking for the same thing "You respect my religion and I will respect yours". Throw the ball in the court of those who ask such silly questions. Ask them "will you accept me converting UK Christians to Hinduism by violence/force or cheating?" "Will you stop converting Hindus?" Their answer to both the questions is "NO" (because that is what bible teaches them – "Intolerance of other religions" The fact is their houses are broken completely and they are pointing at small holes in our house. You just need to show them huge holes in their houses instead of trying to talk about small hole in or house. If they ask about Dalit tell them you first fix "Black and white" then we shall talk about Dalits etc. Telling the Truth is the best option you have. If you get bogged donw you shall be doing disservice to your religion. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately, it is not an easy job, because our english-language newsmedia are anti-Hindu. If I do not know the details, I simply say "I am sorry, I do not know how to respond. I do trust you, but I also must consider the fact that Indian newsmedia are owned by non-Hindus and they are enemies of Hindus. So, it is difficult to know what exactly has happened. However, truth has a way of surfacing. Let us talk about it again when more information becomes available." I found that the critics understand.

Don"t try to run away from the "Root Cause" by saying - "as far as wats happening in north east, i apologise, i am a bit out of touch". You appear to be under influence of British. First of all No one in this world (except Indians and Hindus) values anything a British or American says. Forget about the millions killed in Crusade over centuries, these guys have recently killed over 75000 people in Iraq (because they claimed Iraq had WMDs). The reality is they did not even find pesticides. So there is no need to value anything British or American says. Its all about their "interest" (religious interest – The Crusade) If we have to go in proper order the Pope and Islam must apologize to all Hindus for atrocities of 1000 years and compensate all Hindus and India financially (several Trillions dollars). There is no need to heed to the crusaders who killed Galileo because he said the Earth is not flat. Orissa and all these issues are peanuts. A serial killer and serial rapist must be punished first. You can not send a petty thief to life imprisonment while a serial rapist is sitting on the Judge benches. I do not believe in your philosophy of forgiving the barbarians for atrocities of centuries and talk about Orissa. In no way you should try to justify the Crusade and Jihad. If these two things had stopped Orissa would not have happened.
7	asha on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 : well...for me, the sad part is the effect it has on people like me who live in foreign countries and have to defend againist wats happening in india. here, ther are so many hindus, so many temples...wat will happen if these people decide that now hindu proportion of the UKs (or for that matter US) population is increasing? i am settled here in UK and always hear comments abt wats happening in orissa and karnataka etc and have to defend wats obviously wrong...as far as wats happening in north east, i apologise, i am a bit out of touch. but violence def is no answer to the problem. and also, it affects the image of india in the rest of the world

Christian terrorists are killing Hindus who refuse to convert, even today. Do a little research on terrorist groups in the northeast. Find out what they are doing today to establish a christian empire. How many christians have been killed in India? Including the current troubles in Orissa, only a handful. How many Hindus have been killed by Christians? Millions some time ago, and thousands in the recent past.

Which century are you living in? 10,000 AD to say "had" Crusade and Jihad ? Get rid of the Word "HAD". Both the Crusades and Jihad is alive, strong and Kicking? Go see how 81 years old Laxmananda Saraswati was killed for working with Tribals who refused to convert. Is it any different than Crusade? Understand well!!! If you want to discusses issue sincerely then you shall have to Drop that support to Crusaders and Jihadis. We sure can discuss. Remember, Law of Gravity and Law of Karma applies to all and equally. Don"t try to was hands off of the Barberism that is on for over 2000 years. "Law of Karma" applies to Crusaders, Jihadis and their Supporters (like you) equally.
